1. Introducing New GHC Board Members
GHC would like to extend a warm welcome to our newly elected Board members! These exceptional individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization, further enhancing our leadership team. Elected to serve two-year terms, the newly appointed Board members are:
Jonathan Birdsong, Director of Western Regional Office, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation

Serves as a guide for states interested in potential funding opportunities for clean hydrogen development through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program.
This program is designed to assist states, municipalities, tribes, and territories in implementing measures that will achieve significant cumulative greenhouse gas emissions reductions and provide community benefits.
3. Get Involved in the Consumer Education Initiative
Whether you are a green hydrogen expert, new to green hydrogen, or anything in between: Join us to advance a clean and just energy transition.
To support continued education and policy and market development for green hydrogen (GH2), the GHC launched a consumer information website aimed at providing accessible, credibly sourced information about the benefits of GH2 and dispelling misconceptions.
Several unique features of this website include:
A Cleaner Future for Ports: The GHC created a video episode featuring labor unions, community leaders, and port authorities to discuss how GH2 is safely displacing diesel use at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Hydrogen Around the World: Explore how countries, states, and cities around the world are safely utilizing hydrogen today through an interactive, regularly updated map of global low-carbon hydrogen projects and their status.
Individual Contributions: Individuals can now donate to the GHC to enable faster progress toward a GH2 economy.
Audience Building:To reach out to more “hydrogen curious” audiences, the website is also available in Spanish.

Environmental Defense Fund's newly published report aims to emphasize the importance of considering often overlooked factors in hydrogen climate impact assessments. By incorporating typically overlooked factors, such as the indirect warming effects of hydrogen emissions, observed methane emissions intensities, and near-term timescales, governments, investors, and the hydrogen industry can establish a solid foundation for making informed decisions on policies and deployment decisions toward a clean energy transition, according to the report.
The GHC has been busy advocating for the value of green hydrogen to support clean, reliable, and affordable energy systems through regulatory and legislative engagement. Check out the most recent Regulatory Filings for details on our progress:

Hydrogen is part of the energy transition and can help the world decarbonize. But water is required to produce it, so where is the water going to come from? Join us as we review important factors to consider in the production of hydrogen including types and demand of water, as well as why intentional sourcing is important as part of project planning.
Tune in to learn more from Jillian Flanagan and Nathan Ashcroft as they share their experience and how strategic water planning is critical for overall project success.
The GHC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public benefit corporation with a mission to advance green hydrogen at scale to accelerate multi-sectoral decarbonization.
Join us and our supporters as we create a clean energy future for all.
