The Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC) will host its annual Green Hydrogen Education and Lobby Day on June 3-4 in Sacramento, CA. This closed event presents a unique opportunity to build relationships with California lawmakers and includes intimate group meetings with legislators, legislative staff, and committee consultants to discuss and educate them on the importance of advancing the production and use of green hydrogen at scale.

2. New Release: California’s Blueprint to Leverage Green Ammonia Production as a Key Decarbonization Tool
While ammonia itself is carbon-free, conventional ammonia production pathways rely on fossil fuels, resulting in high levels of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable ammonia, however, has the global potential to replace conventional ammonia and achieve the needed emissions reductions in hard-to-decarbonize sectors.
With a focus on California, this GHC policy brief highlights the value proposition, production pathways, technology trends, barriers, and market potential of renewable ammonia. Additionally, this blueprint explores how California can tackle these barriers through key policy levers, both at the state and federal level, incentivize increased supply and demand, and foster industry and public acceptance of renewable ammonia.

NW Natural Issued an RFP on March 29 Seeking the Purchase of
Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Hydrogen.

Responders may provide information on RNG sourced from currently operating facilities or projects that are under development.”
